THE OBJECTIVES OF THE CLUB SHALL BE:

1. To encourage and promote the breeding of purebred Pugs and to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection.

2. To urge Breeders and Members to accept the Standard of the breed, as approved by the American Kennel Club, as the only Standard of excellence by which the Pug shall be judged.

3. To do all in its power to protect and advance the interest of the breed in encouraging sportsmanlike competition at dog show and/or obedience trials.

4. To conduct licensed and sanctioned Specialty Shows under the rules of the American Kennel Club.

Membership shall be open to all persons 18 years or older who are in good standing with the AKC, and who subscribe to the purpose of the Club. Membership dues for new Members is required at the time the Club Membership Application is submitted and will be held pending approval by vote of Officers and Directors of the Club. Membership renewals for existing Members are due annually no later than January 30th of the New Year. Notice of Meetings will be made by way of a mass e-mail to our paid Members, as well as being posted on our website and in our Pug Patter Newsletter. There are no Meetings in July, August and December. Paid Members will receive our Pug Patter Newsletter, bi-monthly, via regular mail and/or in the Members Only section of our website.
